• Always provided in every BESTNEST in quantity for your stay: beach chairs/umbrellas/sand toys/beach cart, beach towels, a supremely equipped kitchen (in quality and quantity), hand soap, dish soap, kitchen sponges, trash bags, paper towels, tissues and toilet paper, your favorite hair dryer ever, fragrance free laundry soap and dryer sheets, ziploc bags, coffee filters, cleaning supplies, loads of quality coat and skirt hangers, and a few surprises.

Our FAQ:

HOW FAR TO BEACH: Out the front door, cross South Sea Pines Drive-- less than 2 minutes walk and your toes are in the surf.

PETS: We welcome your dog for an additional fee of $350. Regrettably, Labradors and other oily coated breeds are not allowed. Dogs are never allowed on furniture or beds (or their humans have to pay a fine) and must be crated when left alone. Please inquire if you have questions.

POOL HEATING: Heatable with propane. The charge is $350.00 for the first day and $150.00 each additional day during March - May and September - November.   This charge is non-taxable and non-refundable.  Please inquire for winter rates.

PAYMENTS: For reservations made thirty (30) days or less days prior to arrival, payment in full is due at the time the reservation is made. For reservations made thirty one (31) days or more prior to arrival, payment of 25% of the total is required, and the full amount of travel insurance premium, if accepted, is required at the time of booking. The balance of the final total is required thirty (30) days prior to arrival. Long term winter reservations policy differs- please inquire.

CANCELLATIONS: You are welcome to cancel your reservation without penalty and receive full refund of your deposit up to 31 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made 14 days to 30 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund of total payment. At 13 days prior to arrival, your reservation becomes noncancelable and non-refundable. Travel insurance is always highly recommended.

  Our experience was pretty much perfect. The home was just as advertised and very clean and comfortable. The house was well organized and outfitted to meet every need while away from home. The location was perfect for our family. We had close beach access and close access to the amenities of South Beach as well. The house was a good and comfortable size for my husband and me and our two adult children. The weather was a little overcast while we were there. So, the pool was not as warm as I would have liked without having it heated. So, be aware of the weather and consider that option since the pool is shaded by pretty trees. It was nice otherwise though and still an enjoyable area in which to congregate. I will most likely rent this property again, and will definitely use BestNest when on Hilton Head Island.

  We had an amazing time staying at 1 Merganser Court! The property was in great condition when we arrived - the decor is beautiful and the furniture is very comfortable, it really felt special to stay here. This house was a great size for our family (2 adults, a 4 month old, and a 2 year old) - I was especially grateful to note that the sliding door out to the pool has a lock at the top of the door to ensure my wily toddler wouldn't get outside without an adult. The BestNest team was very helpful and responsive during our stay - a storm knocked out the WiFi the night before we arrived, and the team responded quickly to coordinate the delivery of a hotspot and worked to get a technician on site to resolve the issue (without us needing to be there). They also provided a list of recommended babysitters to us prior to arrival - the babysitter we chose worked out great! The location and amenities of this property were unbeatable for our needs - with a baby that napped frequently, it was wonderful to have the pool on site and the beach within an easy walk to play with our toddler. It was also great to have Salty Dog within a short walk - great spot for an early dinner, drinks, and take out! We're angling to stay here again next year!

  We loved our stay. The property is lovely. There were a few minor detractors. The pool is almost completely shaded. The check-in process is antiquated and delayed us from being able to unpack by about 45 minutes. The vacuum is VERY heavy. The hose by the trash is missing a nozzle which may not seem problematic but that’s the closest hose to the pool. These minor things would not keep us from renting again. Overall great place.

  Merganser Court checked all our boxes for a perfect vacation rental! It was sparkling clean, furnished tastefully and comfortably, had all the supplies we needed, and was literally across the road from the beach access path. The BestNest staff handled a problem with one of the smoke detectors immediately and accepted a delivery of our dog's medication. We're already planning to return next year!

  From beginning to end, this was the absolute best experience. We've rented a lot of vacation homes, we've learned a lot. We've learned that little things happen, but it's the response that makes or breaks your experience. Beverly and her team are exceptional. First off, the home itself is so beautifully decorated and comfortable. The house was immaculate, no need to start wiping things down like I normally do! Furniture and appliances are all new and high end, tons of little touches that made our stay so nice, second they have thought of everything and when they tell you not to worry about bringing things like beach towels, paper towels, trash bags, etc---they mean it! There were full sized shampoo and conditioners and soap, full size dish soap, boxes of ziplocks in every size, aluminum foil, tons of paper towels and toilet paper rolls, really nice beach towels, plenty to go around, very nice beach chairs and pool floats and toys, even a rolling cooler and beach cart. Beverly provides clear instructions for entering and vacating the premises, check in was organized and quick, really everything was so lovely. The location of the house is very nice too, simply cross the street and you're on the beach trail or turn right and walk down the path to the marina where there are shops and the Salty Dog Cafe. We had one issue with the internet while streaming a football game and Beverly took my call and had Spectrum on the phone in minutes. She offered to come over herself to assist but we were able to reset the router and get everything working again. This response is what sets them apart. This was a last minute trip to meet up with our grandkids and both of them asked to come back and stay for a week next year. I'd say it was a successful trip. We will definitely come back and will look for a BESTNEST property for sure!

  This house has obviously been recently renovated and is impeccably clean. We’ve stayed in many houses over the years and when they say the house comes stocked with what you need for your stay, they mean it. We didn’t have to buy anything extra for this trip. Even pool and beach items were included. Full size toiletries and cleaning products are a bonus!!
  As for the house itself, super close to the beach, very bright and each room has its own bath. The pool doesn’t get much direct sun but that made the water cooler on those super hot days. We’ll definitely be back!!
