485 Captain's Cove: Palmetto Dunes

Welcome to the BESTNEST at 485 Captains Cove (20 Ocean Lane) in Palmetto Dunes. Captains Cove is DIRECTLY across the street from the BEACH and the oceanfront pool is heated in spring.

Our philosophy is that your vacation experience should be completely comfortable and consistently amazing. Cleanliness is one of our hallmarks and we take clean seriously.

You will LOVE this villa. We do! Drive right up to the front door, 2 steps, and you are inside this cool, crisp, stylish abode. Do yourself a favor and stay a while.

The entry opens to a newly renovated kitchen with everything you need and more for dinner in or lunch with the kids. We feature only heavy, quality cookware, all the accouterments, fresh white dishes...even coffee supplies. And top tier stainless appliances, of course.

The open dining area seats 6 (plus 4 more in the breakfast area) and opens to a large living area with HUGE LCD TV/BluRay and oh, so comfy casual chic furnishings. The living area also features a desk space for you to leave a laptop open and NOT have to move it every time your family sits down to the dining table.

Three bedrooms (Downstairs: 1 King, 2 Doubles. Up spiral stairs: 2 Twins) each boast the comfiest bed linens we could find, with fluffy pillows as well. All bedrooms have wall mounted TV with cable and Netflix. Baths (3 full) are all new and spic and span! The villa offers two walk-in showers and one tub/shower combination.

PAYMENTS: 50% due upon booking. Full amount due at 60 days prior to arrival. Long term winter reservations policy differs- please inquire.

CANCELLATIONS: You are welcome to cancel your reservation without penalty and receive full refund of your deposit up to 61 days prior to arrival. At 60 days prior to arrival, your reservation becomes noncancelable and non-refundable. Travel insurance is always highly recommended.

HOW FAR TO BEACH: Simply walk out the front door and across the street—in less than 2 mins you are IN the surf!

POOL: The Captains Cove/Captains Walk pool is directly across the street—2 min walk. Pool generally opens for the season March 1st. Heated March/April and then again October/November.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: Your property will come stocked with all of the household amenities you will need for the duration of your stay, including trash bags, dish soaps, perfume free laundry products, paper towels, bath tissues, hand and bar soaps, even coffee supplies. We also stock beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas-- really, all you have to do is come and enjoy.

  This was our first trip to Hilton Head and this villa did not disappoint. The unit was very clean and comfortable. There is now a large sectional in the living room that was perfect for our party of 5. The kitchen is well stocked and organized (many meals and even birthday treats were prepared there). The beds were all on the firm side, but I just prefer a soft bed. We had an issue with the ceiling fan in the loft, but Beverly was super responsive and professional and sent her nice handyman out the next morning. We LOVED the location in Palmetto Dunes and actually preferred it over Sea Pines. Walking distance to the beach, pool, and general store was a definite plus. All of the beach equipment provided was in great shape (the only thing not provided were pool noodles). Just bring your clothes and toothbrush and you're all set! Our favorite restaurants were A Lowcountry Backyard (downhome atmosphere and BEST shrimp & grits!), Coast (upscale food and ocean view), and The French Bakery (amazing pastries). Surprisingly, everyone loved the gator bites at The Salty Dog! Mini golf at Pirate's Island was the best mini golf EVER. Thanks to Beverly for making my 50th so special. :)

Bike rentals, a general store and a few restaurants were just a short walk away so whatever someone wanted to do, it was very easy and accessible. We would definitely stay there again!

  Our stay was perfect—except for the cold weather! We have never stayed in a rental that had absolutely everything we needed!! I didn’t need to buy salt and pepper for our week stay or laundry detergent or even propane for the one time we used the grill! The snacks and bananas there for us were a nice touch as were the dog treats for our dog! The keyless entry was great, connecting to WiFi and tv use was easy! The home was clean, towels were nice! Nice there were beach towels and beach things for our use, although we did not make use of them due to the cold temperatures! I would definitely recommend staying here! Close walk to the beach!!

The location can't be beat. The proximity to the beach and pool were perfect for our group, especially my four year old. The amenities at the property were great. I was so happy with the beach toys/cart/umbrellas and towels! Everything was clean and matched the photos. I also really appreciated the proactive communication from the staff leading up to the rental. There were concerns about a hurricane the week before our trip and they provided regular updates. It was a very smooth process and we will definitely rent from Beverly Serral Signatures again.

    Linda-- Thank you for writing-- we wish you had called us! I personally inspected this villa before your arrival and can attest that I did find some mildew on the master shower ceiling, but it was removed with bleach prior to your arrival. Obviously the bath fan is not maximizing the air circulation, or we think that often people do not turn the fan on. I think we will solve this problem from now on by having the fan and light operate together. It is helpful that you have let us know this is an ongoing issue and not isolated. As for towels-- we stocked the villa with 2 full sets of towels per person, for a total of 16 full sets of linens, prior to your arrival so I am not sure what to say about this..... Potential guests please note-- We ALWAYS respond to any issue immediately, all you need do is let us know. This property is perfect for our needs, location, size and amenities.   Nice place; much nicer than other beach houses we've stayed at. Enclosed back patio was very welcome and made for eating dinner outside excellent. Nicely stocked and we really need a lot of extras which was very nice. All the beach supplies that you really need are already there, which was also nicer than I had thought it would be. The spiral stairs go to the loft are not great for really small kids and the loft does not have a door, but overall we were very happy. We would stay here again.

  We have rented many vacation homes in many places. This home was one of the best. It was comfortable for all of us (parents and three small children) and my kids loved the spiral staircase! I loved the kitchen and was pleasantly surprised with the level of detail in stocking it with supplies. It was very easy to get to the beach and the house came with brand new chairs and toys, as well as a cart to get it all there. We would be happy to stay in this home again!

  We had a great time and this rental was perfect for our family. Our boys loved the spiral staircase and called the loft their "clubhouse". I was very impressed with how stocked the kitchen was with everything you could need, even spices and cooking oil. The washer and dryer were new large capacity front load models. Great experience, and nice not having to lug the children through a parking deck to an elevator. Parking was at the doorstep and just steps from the beach. Rental company was also wonderful to work with.

  485 Captains Cove Villa was amazing. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and came equipped. It was great it to have to pack beach chairs, towels or paper/cleaning products. It was a no fuss no muss vacation.
